Simon has the hours under his belt both in the air and in business. Drawing on his legal background he appreciates the need for detail and forward planning.

Simon brings this wealth of experience to his role as a director at Bond Trust, enabling him to understand and deal with both day-to-day issues and more difficult problems that might otherwise require the engagement of external lawyers. By way of example, Simon has been involved in a number of high-profile cases including the just and equitable winding up of a family structure; complex estate issues dealing with potential liability to inheritance tax; constructive trust claims; and trust jurisdiction issues. This experience is invaluable in managing trusts and companies with interests that cut across a number of disciplines and in dealing with different personalities involved.
As the holder of a professional pilot’s licence, his experience in the aviation sector is also much valued by owners and potential owners of aircraft.
Simon’s clients appreciate his breadth and depth of knowledge and his extensive experience enables him to bring value and insight to the various positions and directorships that he holds.
Simon obtained a fellowship of the Institute of Biomedical Science, specialising in Clinical Chemistry in 1987; and graduated from Buckingham University with an LL.B. (Hons) in 1990. He qualified as an English Barrister (Middle Temple) in 1991 and practiced at the Chambers of Michael Brent QC before returning to Jersey in 1993 where he attended the University of Caen in 1995 and obtained a Certificat d’Etudes Juridiques Françaises et Normandes and qualified as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey in 1997.
