Daniel has been qualified for 30 years as a Jersey Solicitor, has been a partner of the law firm BoisBois since 1997, and is a founding Director and shareholder of Bond Trust Limited. Daniel has a wealth of experience in all property matters having acted in hundreds of residential and commercial property transactions. His experience includes commercial property acquisitions, lease negotiations, development structuring and financing. Daniel advises high-value clients in all aspects of their property purchases, sales and redevelopments.
Daniel is often called on by clients to assist in resolving disputes they may be having, he successfully reduced a claim from over £30 million to under £1 million at mediation. Clients regularly instruct Daniel knowing they can rely on his ability to give legal advice and counsel with a commercial and pragmatic overview. He is often consulted to find solutions to legal and commercial issues by thinking “outside the box” and has experience in getting the best value out of external counsel by getting straight to the issues. Daniel has held directorships across a broad range of companies including a startup biotech company which he successfully marketed and sold to a Nasdaq-listed BioPharmaceutical Company, working with lawyers and scientists in three jurisdictions, Hotel Groups in the West End of London and a single asset holding special purpose vehicles. He has an ability to understand, assess and manage risk whilst balancing both the legal and commercial issues involved.
Daniel has developed skills to enable him to quickly understand issues and offer a variety of solutions that take account of the personal, commercial or legal dynamics that are in play. He also has a huge amount of experience in dealing with complex family dynamics Daniel has almost limitless patience ensuring that he is always approachable.
Daniel graduated from the University of Buckingham in 1989 with an honours degree in law LL.B. (Hons) (Commercial Law module). He qualified as a Solicitor of the Royal Court of Jersey in 1993 and is a member of the Jersey Law Society.
